| Spin Off—This piece is constructed from hand-painted fabrics. CDs are applied as a means of adding reflective contrast. Additional surface design includes beading and hand-dyed fiber roving. 25 x 33 inches. |
Infinity—The background of this piece is hand-painted fabric. The “stars” were created using an old-style quilting technique called “Cathedral Window.” These were then set-in to the painted background. 28 x 34 inches. |
Cathedral—This piece was created with an intricate process of inserting hand-dyed colors underneath the black webbing with a reverse-appliqué technique. Sheen is created by the use of cotton sateen to make this work. 38 x 53 inches. |

| Under the Sea—The techniques in the piece include reverse appliqué, like what is used in a Mola, and regular appliqué. Embroidery embellishments are both hand and machine. 26 x 34 inches. |
Strata—This piece is created with layers of fabric, some hand-dyed. CD is painted and applied to signify the passage of time. Some ribbon and embroidery added as an embellishment. 23 x 36 inches. |
Picasso Dreams—The main technique on this piece is fabric appliqué. For some elements like the face, ink drawing is used. Texture is created with the prints and geometric quilting. 19 x 25 inches. |

| Around the World—The fabric was resist-dyed to create the feeling of stars in space. Flowers were applied in a Broderie Perse technique (appliquéd pre-printed fabrics). The round shape represents the world with the flowers adding an intriguing theme. 36 x 40 inches. |
Asian Warming—This piece is constructed of 12 squares of the same size, hand-quilted separately, then held together with 1-inch squares. The very warm color is suggesting warmth and the design and layout has an Asian sensibility. 29 x 29 inches. |
Heat Rises—The feeling of heat is created by the type of fabrics used. The layering of fabric draws the eye up in this composition. All pieced and quilted. 24 x 37 inches. |

| Dimensions—This piece creates the feeling of dimension with the use of negative-positive space. In some of the circular areas there is an overly of netting, ribbon, etc. Beading is an additional surface treatment. 27 x 37 inches. |
Floating Flowers—Created with various coordinating fabrics of like colors to create a unified effect. Surface design includes machine embroidery and hand beading. 34 x 48 inches. |
Hope—Fabric was hand-painted and machine-appliquéd using machine embroidery to show details. The piece represents a sort of Art Nouveau interpretation of spring. 31 x 53 inches. |

| School’s Out—This piece depicts fish having fun. I imagined them taking off from their school formation and having a recess from school. Pre-printed fabric appliquéd onto blue background. Eyelash yarn (to depict seaweed) and some beading to give the whole piece a little glitter. 29 x 35 inches. |
